YAYYYY the day is finally here: We’re kickstarting our dance project!! Choreographing well to a song like this was hard, but the lyrics are what made it meaningful enough to make this our first video! I started Come Dance in the Rain to spread more awareness about mental health, to allow people to know that they’re not alone and to prove to myself that my mental health does not limit me. Part of my struggle involved me ending the desire to dance. However, I knew I would get to the point where I would start dancing in the rain again! Cham Cham is a song that basically says “Becoming carefree, I want to dance today in the rain!” So obviously we chose this to be the first dance to kickstart our dance project! I swear it was raining the entire day; but with my luck it ended the second I stepped out of my car to go record. We’re all still getting used to going back to choreographing and dancing (with broken knees), but we can’t wait to share meaningful and better performances throughout this journey! A big thank you to my amazing family–Bhumi, Paul, Rishi, Puja and Sachi–for being a part of this project! Come join us and dance in the rain:)
